Single-sided triangular milling insert TD.. 17.., for a maximum depth of cut of 11.0 mm, with 0.8 mm corner radius, an indexing accuracy according to ISO-tolerance class-E and FA geometry with rounded cutting edges and facet. Features FA geometry with sharp cutting edges, now enhanced with a BALINIT® MAYURA (ta-C DLC) coating from Oerlikon Balzers, specifically engineered for machining non-ferrous materials. This ultra-thin (~0.3 µm), high-hardness (>65 GPa) carbon-based coating provides:

• Extremely low friction (<0.10)
• Reduced material adhesion
• Maintained sharp cutting edges
• Significantly improved wear resistance and tool life

Suitable for machining non-ferrous materials including aluminum alloys (including high-Si content), copper, brass, and polymers, used with shoulder mills STD17.
